When I write my songs, I’m usually feeling exactly how I feel in my lyrics. Sometimes when I listen back to my songs, I get taken back to when I wrote it, how I wrote it, and why I wrote it. There are a few songs that I choose not to listen to because I don’t want to feel that way again. It’s kind of scary how I can be brought back like that. I think the reason why is because I get so emotionally involved in my music. I’m writing because I want to express something, understand something, let go or accept something.
