I started writing because I needed a place to vent. My old, old songs back when I was just starting were all about how I felt like a failure in everything I did in front of my parents eyes. I was never good enough. I was the black sheep in my family and I felt so misunderstood. I wrote because I felt like I was alone and the only person that listened to me was myself. My songs were my diary entries.
